Ecamm Live is an all-in-one live streaming production platform for Mac, that allows anyone to create professional quality live or pre-recorded video content.
The following article will teach you how to add your Singular overlays into Ecamm Live.
Note that this tutorial only works with the Ecamm Live "Widgets Overlay" feature. This feature is only available to Pro Ecamm Live users and also requires Mac OS 10.13 or newer.
Prepping the Overlays
Before you can output your overlays with Ecamm Live, you have to prep them in Studio. Learn how to prep your overlays in Studio in steps 1-4 of the Beginner's Guide.
Outputting with Ecamm Live
1 - Proper Mac System Settings
Before logging into Ecamm Live, make sure that your "Show scroll bars" setting in your Mac General System Preferences is set to "Automatically based on mouse or trackpad".
To make sure this setting is correct, head over to System Preferences > General > Show scroll bars settings.
2 - Login
3 - Select Show/Hide Overlays button
4 - Choose Browser button
In the new Overlays pop up window, select the browser button.
5 - Populate information
Add in your desired Display Name for this layer, paste in your Control App Output URL and customize your Widget Options with your desired Width, Height and Frame Rate.
We recommend matching your with and height to the resolution of your video. You'll also need to select 30 FPS for frame rate. Lastly, you can simply choose the "Fill Entire Frame" option and ignore the Width and Height.
6 - Stream to destination
With your overlays successfully on top of your webcam video, you can now stream to your desired destination (bottom right corner menu).
