The Table Control Node is a structured, multi-row input used to collect and manage repeated data (like a mini spreadsheet) inside Singular. Each row is a record, and each column is a specific field type.

Table Control Nodes work with the Table Widget and the Grid Widget.

Table properties

  • Height mode: Auto (scrolling) or Fixed (set row count)
  • Min lines (ui) : Control how many rows of data are displayed at minimum for the operator
  • Min rows (ui) : Control how many rows of data are displayed at maximum for the operator
  • Add & delete rows : Enable or restrict adding and removing rows of data by the operator
  • Allow sorting: Allow column sorting by the operator

Import / Export Data (via Google Sheets, CSV, or JSON)

In the control app or within Composer, access the main Table menu in the upper left corner of the Table controls for accessing copying, pasting and downloading prompts.

Google Sheets

The Table Control Node is powerful. You have to option to prepare your data in Google Sheets and paste into the Table controls. Start with "Copy for Google Sheets" to acquire the proper formatting before making modifications and extensions in your Google Sheet and pasting back into the Table controls. 

CSV and JSON

You can also download your data from the table controls into a CSV or JSON format. 

Troubleshooting

  • No columns defined: Add columns to the table
  • Paste errors: Check data format (numbers, dates, etc.)
  • Actions disabled: Check row limits or permissions
  • Changes not saving: Click Update before leaving
