Video files are now supported in the Singular Dashboard. File size is restricted to up to 10mb with support for mp4 and webm file formats. If you need to preserve alpha transparency, we recommend using .webm
Video Details
Selecting the Dashboard Video and then opening the Dashboard File Inspector reveals key information about your video file including Width, Height, Duration, Size, access URL and Create/Update timestamps.
Video Previewer
Double clicking a video file in the Dashboard opens the Video Previewer. You can play the video and step through it frame by frame.
Note that when a video has alpha transparency, the checkerboard background will come through to validate transparent elements of the video.
Creating a Video Thumbnail
By default, the Dashboard captures a thumbnail of your video at second 1 of the video. However, you can define your own thumbnail in two methods:
Capturing a Thumbnail in Video Previewer
Double Click on your uploaded video in the Dashboard to bring up the Video Previewer.
Then scrub to the deired frame in the video timeline and select the "Capture Thumbnail" button.
Choose a desktop file from the Dashboard Inspector
Select your video in the Dashboard and choose the Dashboard Inspector Icon. Then find the "Choose file" button to select an image from your desktop as your preferred video thumbnail.
